With a Starbucks at every corner, it’s not hard to stop and place an order. While there’s nothing wrong with ordering your coffee at Starbucks, what you order makes a huge difference in your weight loss journey. 

Starbucks has a ton of fabulous drink creations that are marketed based on the season. For instance, since it’s the Fall season Starbucks now offers Pumpkin Spice everything. Whether it’s pumpkin frappuccinos, pumpkin lattes, or even pumpkin loaves, all of these can be very tempting to try. However, know that as tempting as it may be to order these decadent fall season drinks, they can be extra calories that you just can’t afford.

Remember, 3500 calories is equivalent to 1 pound of fat. So if you can plan your week by going into a 3500 calorie deficit, you’ll lose a pound of fat. 

How do you go into a calorie deficit when ordering at Starbucks? Order smarter.

Here’s where it gets interesting. If you were to drink a large plain black americano every day for 1 entire week, you’ll stack up a total of 35 calories. Crazy right?

Here’s the thing about ordering smarter…

You have to know if you can afford the extra sugar, the syrups, and the whipped cream. Because at the end of the day, all 3 drinks are primarily used for one thing…

And that is to wake up.

Now i’m not saying to completely dismiss a frappuchino or a latte for the rest of your life, but just be more conscious on how much calories your actually taking in.

At the end of the day it’s a balancing act of how much calories you burn vs how much you consume.

If you’re consuming more calories than you’re burning, then yes you’ll be gaining weight. Vice versa if you’re trying to lose weight.
